PACTO pays tribute to the late John Taylor
Everyone at PACTO is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of John Taylor.
John was a true champion of community transport, and one of the sector’s most respected figures. Through his work with passenger transport specialists TAS, and throughout a career dedicated to improving transport accessibility, he supported countless organisations, including PACTO, with his knowledge, guidance, encouragement and unwavering commitment to helping communities stay connected.
Over the years, John generously shared his expertise with us, offering advice and insight that helped shape our thinking, strengthen our services and support our mission to reduce transport disadvantage across Pembrokeshire. His influence extended far beyond individual projects, leaving a lasting impact on the community transport sector throughout the UK.
John understood that transport is about far more than vehicles and infrastructure. It is about people, independence, wellbeing and ensuring nobody is left behind. His vision, professionalism and passion inspired many of us working in the sector today.
On behalf of PACTO’s Trustees, staff, members and partners, we extend our sincere condolences to John’s family, friends and colleagues. We are grateful for the support, wisdom and friendship he showed us over the years and will remember him with great respect and affection.
Thank you, John. Your legacy will continue to travel with us.
