Adrienne Poole
PACTO General Manager
Adrienne brings a wealth of experience in licensing, regulation, and law enforcement, with a professional background spanning local government and policing. In her career as a Police Officer with Kent Police, she developed expertise in community safety, crime reduction, and delivering training programmes for operational officers then retiring as a Police Sergeant. She later expanded her regulatory knowledge as a Licensing Officer at Herefordshire Council, where she was responsible for processing and enforcing licensing regulations and supporting businesses and the public with clear, practical guidance.
With a strong foundation in education and professional training — including a Level 4 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and multiple licensing practitioner qualifications — Adrienne combines technical knowledge with a passion for clear communication and public service.
Highly organised and adaptable, she is skilled in managing complex administrative processes, maintaining accurate records, and working confidently with a wide range of IT systems and data protection protocols. Adrienne is also bilingual in Welsh and comfortable engaging with diverse communities across multiple platforms.
Beyond her professional achievements, Adrienne is an active member of her local community. She plays the flugel horn in a Pembroke community wind band, a skill she developed back in school, and enjoys contributing to local cultural life. A former rugby player in Kent, she transitioned into refereeing, confidently leading matches and making critical decisions on the pitch — often telling 30 men where to go and ensuring they listened!
Known for her professionalism, attention to detail and approachable manner, Adrienne is committed to supporting safe, compliant, and well-informed communities.
