PACTO attends Transport Equity: Accessible Transport for All event in Cardiff Bay

Last Wednesday saw Pembrokeshire Association of Community Transport Organisations (PACTO) Trustees, staff and members of Green Dragon Bus attend Community Transport Association (CTA) and Bus Users UK’s Transport Equity: Accessible Transport for All event at the Pierhead in Cardiff Bay.

This was a fantastic opportunity to be alongside colleagues from across the transport sector to share ideas, spark conversations and explore how we can work together to create a more accessible, inclusive and equitable transport system for communities across Wales

The event showcased some of the best practice happening across the Welsh transport network, and the difference that provision makes to people who are the furthest from opportunity.

The day also provided us with an opportunity to celebrate the number of trips that have been delivered by Community Transport in Pembrokeshire between October 2023 and March 2026 of the Motability Foundation-funded Transformation Project. The figure of 123,167 is expected to reach 160,000 by the end of September.

It was great to have the opportunity to hear from Mark Hooper AS/MS, Deputy Minister for Transport, who spoke about the role Community Transport will continue to play in the future.
